Overview
Milleen Constructions was engaged to deliver the civil works for a new fly ash pumping station at Vales Point Power Station. The facility was designed to improve the handling and transport of fly ash, a critical by-product of coal-fired power generation.
Scope of Works
- Bulk excavation and site shoring with sheet piling
- Reinforced concrete construction of deep pumping station pits and structural walls
- Complex formwork and heavy reinforcement installation for high-load structures
- Integration of embedded pipework and penetrations within the structural concrete
- Delivery of works in a live power station environment under strict safety and environmental controls
Outcome
