Orica Kooragang Island is undertaking significant improvements to reduce particle emissions from its prill tower. The primary focus is on the installation of an irrigated fibre-bed scrubber, a $110 million project aimed at capturing ammonium nitrate (AN) PM2.5 particles. This technology is expected to reduce these emissions by up to 97%.
Milleen was contracted to deliver the Civil SOW as part of a wider ongoing relationship with Orica built on a long history of successfully completed complex projects on the Kooragang Island site.
