Overview
Milleen Constructions was engaged to deliver the bulk earthworks for the Sapphire Wind Farm substation, the largest wind farm in New South Wales. The works formed the foundation of the high-voltage substation that connects the 270 MW wind farm to the state’s electricity grid.
Scope of Works
- Bulk cut and fill earthworks to establish substation platform
- Site levelling, compaction, and drainage preparation
- Access roadworks and laydown areas for construction staging
- Environmental and erosion controls in line with strict sustainability requirements
- Delivery of a stable foundation for subsequent substation civil and electrical works
Outcome
