The Eraring Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is a major project by Origin Energy, located at the site of the Eraring Power Station in New South Wales. This project is being developed in two stages and will ultimately provide a 700 MW/2,800 MWh energy storage capacity. The first stage, currently under construction, involves a 460 MW/920 MWh installation. This system will use Wärtsilä’s GridSolv Quantum solution and GEMS
Digital Platform for energy management and dispatch.
Milleen Group were contracted by Enerven to construct the foundations for the Overhead
Transmission Line Towers & Gantry tower foundations that connect the BESS Switching
Station to the existing Transgrid Switching Station.
